3.15--The Prank Master

Harper celebrates becoming an adult.

The middle picture is my favorite.  Do you see Foster checking out Leliana?  He has no boundaries, I say!

Not long into the party, Pacey decides to age-up as well.

I toooootally forgot it was his birthday too.  Whoops.

Aaaand random shot of Marie (her and Angel's daughter Fawn is in the background; pre-makeover).  Marie has a tendency to leave parties -and her children- behind as soon as the festivities begin to bore her.  She was only at Harper's shin-dig for a total of 30 sim minutes. : (

Dasia takes the time to play with the newly toddler-ized Pacey.

And then attempts to scare him senseless.  It doesn't work.

Foster decides to woo the crowd with his awesome guitar playing.  The only drawback is, he makes this decision after everyone has already left and most of the household retired to bed.

"Um... you know I'm the only one awake, right?"

Foster quirks his eyebrow seductively. "When do you become an adult again?"

"Please leave... now." Dasia opens the door and wrinkles her nose in annoyance as Foster chuckles on his way out.

The next morning, Gideon showers to find that someone has used his own prank against him.  His emotions go quickly from abject horror-

-to vowed revenge.  He knows who did it, and she will pay.

He finds the culprit on the couch.  Dasia suppresses a laugh when she sees that his hair is back to its normal red-brown.

Gideon sits nonchalantly, not wanting to give his anger away, but fails miserably.  "I hate your shirt.  It's stupid."

"Yeah... well you're stupid."

Gideon shrugs. "Wanna watch some TV?"

"Fine."

While Dasia prepares for the backlash and Gideon plans his next move, Ellis invites over a new friend.  Her name is Fawn Starr.  She and Ellis instantly connected when they realized they live in similar circumstances.  Both have parents with a past that they still have yet to learn, both have families that moved to Meadow Glen for mysterious reasons, and -most importantly- both have stupid siblings that keep fighting.

"What do your brother and sister do when they fight?" Fawn asks curiously.

Ellis grimaces.  "They call each other mean names and then make me their messenger when they aren't talking anymore.  Right now they are pranking each other until someone cries... or kills the other.  I'm not sure how it is going to end, actually; but it's stupid."

"My brothers yell at each other a lot and sometimes my mom has to break them up.  Last time Kris tried to pull a prank on Tobias, Tobias punched him in the face really hard and his nose bled for a day straight.  My mom is pretty scary when she's angry though and they both haven't dared to fight each other like that since."

Ellis frowns.  "But I see your brothers hanging out together all the time?"

Fawn shrugs. "Yeah.  They're pretty close... they just fight a lot."

"I don't get it."

"Neither do I."

Dasia is legitimately frightened of what Gideon will do to her, so she asks Duncan to come over to help her plan; only to find that he's useless in this department.

"You forget.  My closest sibling in age is a toddler and I don't think it's in good humor to pull shenanigans on a baby."

"Dammit.  I don't know what I'm going to do then.  I guess I'll just have to sweat it out until the little twerp delivers."

"Riiiight.  Aren't you supposed to be the one setting an example in this scenario?"

"You sound just like my parents."

Duncan laughs.  "Well, they do say I'm mature for my age."

"Who are 'they,' exactly?"

"The voices in my head." Duncan smiles. "Listen, my mom wants me to be out of the house for the next few hours and I was thinking we could go out and do something for once?  I think Lizzie said she wanted to go to the movies."

Dasia chuckles.  "When are you two going to go out on a date?"

"Who?  Me and Liz? Uh, never... I suppose.  I don't like her like that.  I -um- well let's just say I have my eye on someone else."

"I take it you're not going to tell me who it is?"  Duncan shakes his head in response. "Well, whoever she is; she's a very lucky girl."

"Yeah, and also very oblivious." Duncan mutters quietly.

"What?"

"I said Liz will be very pissed... um, if she has to wait more than five minutes for us.  You know how she gets."

"Well let's go then.  Angry Liz scares me."

Dasia's prom falls the same night as the twins' birthday.  Gideon is more than happy to see Dasia leave, but Ellis is a bit sad that her sister will miss her big moment, but knows that her sister had been looking forward to prom all month.  They both promise to share all the gory details about their nights when Dasia returns.

As usual, Ellis ages up first-

-followed closely by Gideon.

Gideon doesn't waste any time to get his comeuppance on his sister.  The upside of his whole scheme is that he gets to scare his sister while also cementing his reputation before he even starts school.

"Two birds with one stone."

*cue maniacal laughter*

Just thirty minutes later and he leaves the building satisfied.  Letting all those frogs loose proved to be a feat, but he managed it successfully and didn't get caught in the process.

+1 for Gryffindor... I mean, Gideon!

-----------------------------------------
Generation Four will begin in about four or five chapters -I hope- as I'm planning to rush a bit through Ellis' teen stage (nothing happening) and I really want to get moving along.  Just pretend it makes sense.  : /

CLOSE-UP's

ELLIS
She's definitely an awkward looking teenager.  She's much prettier when she is YA.

GIDEON
I think he turned out quite handsome... surprisingly.

3.14--With Arms Outstretched

Often while his sisters are out playing or ignoring him, Gideon sneaks into Dasia's room and plays dress up. In his world, he's the reigning authority figure and everyone must listen to what he says.  Sometimes he wishes his sisters would stop being such babies and join him, but that would mean actually being nice to them and Gideon isn't sure he is capable of that.  Instead, he throws Dasia's toys around her room and jumps on her bed... to make a point or something.  He's still working on that part of the equation.

Ellis still doesn't understand why Gideon and Dasia don't make more of an effort to get along.  Gideon can definitely get on your nerves, but he is still their brother.

"Why do you guys fight so much?" Ellis pesters.

"I already told you.  Because Gideon is a butt head and starts fights with me."

Ellis shrugs with a slight smirk. "Maybe he's jealous."

"Or maybe he just sucks." Dasia deadpans.

"I don't think calling him names is going to make him want to be your friend."

"And nothing else I do will either."

Ellis shakes her head sadly in confusion, but decides to drop the subject. "If you say so."

A couple of days later, Dasia becomes a teenager-

-and Harper finds out she is pregnant with their fourth, and thankfully last, child.

When Harper breaks the news to her friend and boss, Leliana, Harper is invited over to the Theirin household for a late lunch.

"Yep.  There is definitely a child growing in there."

Harper laughs. "I certainly hope that's what it is."

Leliana quickly shifts topics as soon as she hears Duncan's footsteps coming toward them;  "...And that's when they told me that his head popped out and I realized I was in so much pain, I could nearly faint.  Oh hi, son!"

Duncan hears just the briefest portions of the conversation and heads straight toward the front door.  His mom had a tendency to get into the gory details, and he would much rather not be regaled with the disturbing facts about his birth - again. "I'll just... uh..."

Leliana waves. "Okay, have fun dear.  Be back by dinner and be safe."  Duncan nods and heads out of the house as fast as his legs will take him.  As soon as Duncan's out of the door, Leliana laughs. "And that's how you get rid of the kids when you want some alone time."

"Talking about their birth?" Harper smirks.

"Or something else equally embarrassing or horrifying."

"Mother of the year award goes to?"

Leliana chuckles.  "Trust me.  Once your kids all start becoming teens, you'll do anything to get some time alone - or time with your husband."

That night, Dasia returns home late from her first shift of work at the science facility.

Harper and Cedric attempt to keep a serious face when they see her new uniform. Dasia sighs; "Oh get on with it."

"Bill Nye the Science Guy wants his clothes back." Harper begins.

Cedric laughs. "I really hope those high-waters are for something functional and not because they thought it looked cool."

"Are those loafers?  I think I've seen a few of the old men wearing those around town."

Dasia smirks.  "If you are both done, I would like to change." Cedric gets up from the couch and walks quickly to the stairs. "Where are you going?"

"To get the camera.  This is a prime opportunity for a family photo!"

Dasia runs to her room before he can reach the stairs. "No it isn't!"

Dasia calls Duncan as soon as the photo fiasco is done with.

"Hey; what's up?"

"You should come over."

"I can't.  I'm babysitting Michaela."

"Bring her too."

"Why don't you just come over here?"

"Because... I don't want to?"

Duncan sighs. "You're seriously the laziest person I know. Fine, I'll be over in fifteen minutes."

"Victory is mine!" Dasia blurts before Duncan can hang up and laughs when she hears him mutter a quiet protest.

"See you in a bit."

True to his word, Duncan comes over with his little sister Michaela and after doing their homework and watching a late night b-movie, they find themselves bored.

So they move their fun to the kitchen and slaughter each other with pillows.

Ellis doesn't like doing homework, but she particularly doesn't like doing homework while she hears others having fun during her misery.  She sighs heavily, scratching out another wrong attempt at a math problem.

"Do you need help, pumpkin?"  Cedric asks.

"If I give you five dollars, will you do my homework for me?"

Cedric laughs.  "You're going to give me five dollars of the allowance money that I gave you to do your homework?  As much as I like getting my own money back, perhaps we can strike another deal."

"What's that?"

"You do your own homework and when you get stuck, I'll assist you."

Ellis frowns. "But this is torture."

"And I'll be there every step of the way through it." Cedric says smiling.

Gideon also doesn't like doing schoolwork.  He decides to be a foreboding presence in the kitchen while Dasia and Duncan have their fun.  To his chagrin, it doesn't sully their mood or make his homework seem more enjoyable.

Late that night after all the kids have gone to sleep, Harper goes into labor.  They leave and come back without the kids ever knowing that they have a new brother named Pacey.

And when Harper and Cedric finally make it upstairs to shower, change, and feed their new son; they realize how tight the space is in their house even after their recent renovations.  Whether they like it or not, a move is in order.

Harper snuggles Pacey closely, laughing at the ridiculous space they set up outside their bedroom for him. "Don't worry, little tyke.  This is only temporary."

-------------------------------------

Abrupt ending is abrupt.  Also, I swear I'm building a plot here.  I just have some filler chapters to sort out and write before the meat of Ellis and Dasia's story comes into play.

There's really no new updates besides Cedric being at level 8 of his career and Harper at level 6.  They currently have about 200,000 simoleons saved from not spending money on anything besides bills, so they have more than enough to get a new house.  Finally.

3.13--Rousseau

The twins celebrate their birthdays.  Ellis is first up, being the eldest of the two.

She's not sure how she feels about this whole "growing up" shin-dig.

Next up is Gideon, who is way more excited than his sister.

He's now old enough to annoy his siblings - he likes this new development.

Right after the kiddos age up, so does Cedric.  He won't admit it out loud, but he's beginning to feel his age.

Look at that pout.

With the twins aging up, Dasia finds that she almost always has a permanent playmate.

Unfortunately, after the stunts Gideon pulled the previous morning (booby trapping the shower and picking a fight with Dasia), his sisters aren't exactly excited to play with him.

"Giddy; if you turn into a bully at school, I'll still beat you up.  You're my brother, but that doesn't change things." Dasia chides.

Ellis squirms a bit, uncomfortable with the sibling rivalry that has suddenly sprung up between the two since their birthday. "Can't you guys stop fighting, please?"

Dasia gives Gideon the evil eye before finally relenting to Ellis' wish. "Fine.  But I'm not playing with him."

Ellis looks between the two, wringing her hands nervously and Gideon smirks.  "It's okay, El.  Go play with Dumb-sia."  He laughs when Dasia gives him an angry pout and stalks off in the direction of the park without a final word.

Gideon- 1, Dasia- 0

Ellis shakes her head. "Why do you keep bugging her?"

"Because you're too much of a baby to pick on and Dasia is the oldest."

"That's not a good enough reason."

"It's good enough for me." Gideon shrugs before going into the house.

Ellis and Dasia discover that they love ice-cream as much as their mother.

When Dasia drops her ice-cream on the floor, she hears a loud "Looks like Dumb-sia is a butterfingers!" from the kitchen.

"You little twerp!" Dasia runs toward the house.  Ellis listens for the scuffle between her siblings and her father's umpteenth grounding of the two in the last couple of days before heading back inside; all the while shaking her head sadly.

When things quiet down a few hours later, the kids all gather on the couch.  Ellis decides to break the fuming silence between the two; "So how long are you both grounded for?"

"Three days." Gideon states proudly.

Dasia glares in his direction. "Yeah, and I got five because I'm older and 'should know better.' Thanks a lot for that, by the way."

Gideon smirks. "Gideon wins again!"

"If you weren't my brother, I'd-"

Ellis interrupts before the situation gets worse. "What's school like 'Sia?"

Dasia reluctantly turns from Gideon's self-satisfied grin to Ellis' more serious grimace.  "It's fun.  There aren't a lot of mean kids after me and Lizzie did our sweep -" she gives Gideon a quick warning glare; before turning back to her sister, "- and the teachers are nice.  You'll like it."

Gideon smiles and rubs his hands together mischievously. "I can't wait!"

"Neither can I." Dasia adds sarcastically.

--------------------------------------
As usual, I'm just naming the chapter after the song I'm playing at the moment.

So Harper is officially my most downloaded Sim, beating out even Mya and Adamaris.  Pretty surprising, but also pretty cool.

I've run into an internet issue, so any new chapters between now and late January will be written by me, but published by my cousin.  So everyone say hello to Sammalammadingdong (aka Sammy Davis Jr. aka Samantha). She's going to hate me for this...
